I am Axel Legay. My work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital innovation and knowledge management, with a particular interest in turning complex technologies into ideas, products and approaches that people and organisations can actually use.

Technology is interesting. What we do with it matters more.
My professional interests have consistently revolved around technology, innovation and their real-world adoption. I am particularly interested in understanding what happens when advanced technologies leave the laboratory or the product roadmap and encounter organisations, users, regulation and everyday operational constraints.
Artificial intelligence has made this question even more important. We can now generate information, analyses and answers at an unprecedented speed, but the challenge is increasingly to determine how that intelligence can become reliable, understandable and reusable knowledge.
Through my professional activities, writing and involvement in innovation projects, I explore these questions from both a technological and practical perspective.

I work around digital solutions for operational and field activity management, where data from vehicles, equipment, people and projects can be transformed into actionable information for organisations managing complex field operations.
Innovation & Project Assessment
I contribute to the assessment of innovation projects, particularly by looking beyond pure technical feasibility and examining market acceptance, regulatory compatibility, user adoption, technology readiness, integration challenges and measurable economic or environmental impact.
Cybersecurity Training & Awareness
I have contributed to cybersecurity training and awareness activities involving public institutions and organisations, including initiatives delivered through the Walloon cybersecurity ecosystem.
Writing
Ideas worth developing deserve more than a social media post.
I regularly write about artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, innovation, technology adoption and the way digital tools change how organisations create and use knowledge.
Your conversations with AI are not yet knowledge.
Generative AI allows us to produce increasingly sophisticated answers, but a good answer is not automatically durable knowledge. The next challenge may therefore be less about generating more information and more about preserving the context, structure and reasoning that make that information useful over time.
